Brain Development

Science tells us that our children’s first years are when they develop the foundation for all future learning.

Every time we connect with them, it’s not just their eyes that light up – it’s their brains. In these moments, half a million neurons fire at once, taking in all the things we say and do.
The experiences we provide shape our neural architecture.

A 3 year old has three times the synaptic connections of an adult and will burn three times as much glucose!

The developing brain has essential needs;
• Healthy Relationships – early relationships are vital to brain development because they help wire the brain to trust others, to love, and to feel safe and secure.
• Positive Experiences – new brain connections are formed and modified through verbal and physical interactions
• Consistent and Secure Environment – the brain develops gradually in response to experience and to the environment

This program will be available for educator of the early years soon. Please give us a call to make any inquiries.
